Choosing Me

Experienced professionals dedicated to your success.

Second Single · The Peace EP · Released Juneteenth, June 19, 2026

There is a moment everyone eventually faces the moment you stop giving pieces of yourself to something that was never going to give them back. "Choosing Me" is that moment, captured in sound.

The record opens with a slow, passionate, theatrical symphonic intro that sets the emotional stage before a single word is sung. When the vocals arrive, they carry quiet resolve. As the song builds, the production opens into something cinematic and expansive, and by the time the choir enters, the entire record lifts into something that feels less like a performance and more like a room full of people exhaling together. It is the kind of moment worth the wait.

PS Joey delivers "Choosing Me" with falsetto that moves seamlessly between vulnerability and triumph , a vocal performance that mirrors the emotional arc of the lyrics themselves. This is reclamation set to a minor key groove. It is the sound of someone finally choosing themselves.
Releasing on Juneteenth was never a coincidence. Freedom, self-determination, and the decision to put yourself first, the date and the message are one and the same.

"Choosing Me" is the second single from PS Joey's upcoming sophomore EP The Peace, arriving end of July 2026. An independent Atlanta-based artist, Army veteran, and self-producing musician, PS Joey has built over 800,000 catalog streams without a label, a co-sign, or compromise. Every word written, every note produced, entirely his own.
If you have ever stayed too long, given too much, or waited for permission you never needed ,this one is for you!

Yeah I Said It

There is a specific feeling when you have been patient for too long and you finally just stop. "Yeah I Said It" is that feeling in song form  and it delivers it with dark humor, a heavy groove, and the kind of emotional honesty that makes you feel understood and entertained at the same time.

Built on a syncopated guitar hook, a punchy snare, and a bass line that locks in immediately, the production sits in the alt pop/R&B space with a deep funk-soul foundation. At 95 BPM in a major key, the track carries the rhythmic confidence of classic R&B while feeling completely current. PS Joey's soulful tenor moves between grounded verses and a falsetto-edged delivery that makes the chorus impossible to shake.

The concept is simple but undeniable. Sometimes the most honest thing you can say is exactly what the title promises. The chorus lands like a punchline you did not see coming and then you immediately need to hear it again.

"Yeah I Said It" is the first single of 2026 from PS Joey an independent Atlanta-based artist, Army veteran, and self-producing musician with over 750,000 streams built without a label, a co-sign, or compromise. It is the opening statement of his upcoming sophomore EP The Peace, following his 2020 debut The Cycle. Every word written, every note produced, entirely his own.

If you have ever had something to say and finally said it this one is yours.

Cry

Released during Mental Health Awareness Month, Cry is a stripped, soulful record about anxiety, overthinking, and emotional release. The response has been powerful: listeners calling it “a breakdown in melody” and “therapy in a song.”

Joey’s sound is rooted in honesty and stillness, blending Southern soul with modern vulnerability. His story—Army veteran, I.T. entrepreneur, and creative—makes him a rare voice: grounded, intentional, and deeply relatable.

With a focused brand around Peace. Love. Telli., upcoming visuals, fan-led content, and product drops, Cry is the first major step in a multi-layered rollout designed for both emotional impact and real growth.

This is more than a return—it’s the beginning of PS Joey’s most powerful chapter yet.

Joey's Roots

PS Joey is an alt-R&B artist, songwriter, and producer who creates music for the feelers—the ones who carry it all quietly and love deeply anyway.
His sound blends Southern soul, stripped-down vulnerability, and reflective storytelling, rooted in lived experience and emotional truth.

Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia after Hurricane Katrina, Joey embodies what he calls “Peaches and Strawberries”—two places, two rhythms, one story. One raised him. One grew him.

After enlisting in the U.S. Army at 17 and later earning degrees in Information Technology, he built his business and his sound in parallel—balancing service, discipline, and emotional complexity with a quiet love for music always humming in the background.

In 2025, PS Joey returned from a four-year musical hiatus with Cry—a deeply personal single about anxiety, overthinking, and the moment you finally allow yourself to break. Released during Mental Health Awareness Month, Cry is more than a song—it’s a mirror for those who have held too much in for too long.

With over 650,000+ independent streams across his catalog, a growing community, and a brand built on his personal code—Peace. Love. Telli.—PS Joey is building music and messages that feel like space to breathe.

Still. Soulful. Introspective.
PS Joey is not here to be loud. He’s here to be clear.
